The City in the Country
Poway calls itself the City in the Country, and that shapes delivery more than anything else: roughly 50,000 people spread across an inland valley of large lots, horse property and canyon edges, not a dense grid.
Poway Road and the middle of town
Most of the city organizes around the Poway Road corridor, with the shopping centers at Poway Plaza, Poway Promenade and Creekside Plaza in the middle and the older core at Old Poway Park just north of it. Those addresses are straightforward.
From the west the ways in are Poway Road off I-15 and Scripps Poway Parkway further south, with SR-67 running down the eastern edge.
Up the valley
Toward Lake Poway, Blue Sky Ecological Reserve and the Green Valley and High Valley pockets, homes sit well back from the road behind long driveways and gates. These are the addresses that need care. Lake Poway and Blue Sky themselves are public land, so neither can serve as a place to meet the driver.
